Plan your adventure

The Ben Nevis Visitor Centre is your starting point for exploring Britain’s highest mountain and the stunning Glen Nevis. Our friendly, knowledgeable team is here to help with advice on local walks and the mountain track to Ben Nevis, standing proudly at 1,345 metres. We also provide daily weather updates from trusted sources such as the Met Office and the Mountain Weather Information Service, so you can prepare for a safe and enjoyable climb.

Discover and learn

Inside the centre, you’ll find interactive touchscreens, fun quizzes, and short films that bring the area’s history, Gaelic culture, and the pioneering spirit of Ben Nevis to life. It’s a great way to learn more about the mountain and its unique landscape before you set off.

Relax and refuel

After exploring the exhibits, take a break in our seating area with hot and cold drinks and snacks. Our shop is stocked with maps, outdoor accessories, and unique Ben Nevis merchandise – perfect for planning your route or picking up a souvenir.

We aim to make your visit as easy as possible with:
