Technical information about this website’s accessibility

High Life Highland is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

SOCIAL MEDIA

All attempts have been made to ensure the third party social media platforms are accessible by adding Aria labels to the platforms Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, LinkedIn, and Youtube.

As each social media platform is embedded from the respective 3rd parties, we cannot be responsible for the accessibility of their content and refer you to their individual accessibility statements.

VIDEOS

Videos uploaded by High Life Highland may not be fully accessible. This can result in not having an audio description or text alternative meaning people using a screen reader cannot access the information.

TICKET TAILOR (EVENTS)

The Ticket Tailor API does not return image alt text attributes. This prevents screen readers from conveying meaningful descriptions of event images to users.

IMAGES

Third parties are encouraged to contain alt text for screen readers.  However, we cannot guarantee that all third party images will contain alt text.

IMAGE CAROUSEL EXPAND BUTTON

Due to the external library used, the expand button within the image carousel cannot be accessed using keyboard navigation (tab key only).

FIND A RANGER MAP

An external map has been embedded. We cannot guarantee that this external map will be fully accessible.

Preparation of this accessibility statement
