Highland Athlete Travel Award Scheme (ATAS)
Supporting Highland athletes to compete at the highest level
At High Life Highland we are committed to supporting our local athletes to perform at national and international level. Through the Highland Athlete Travel Award Scheme (ATAS), delivered in partnership with sportscotland, we provide:
- Funding awards for eligible athletes who regularly train and compete outside the Highland region.
- Free access to High Life Highland facilities to support training and development for 12 months.
Our aim is to help Highland athletes participate, progress and achieve success.
Eligibility
To apply, athletes must:
- Live in the Highland region.
- Compete in a sport recognised by sportscotland. (Visit the sportscotland A-Z of sports)
- Regularly attending training and competitions outside Highland or travel 120 miles round trip within Highland.
- Be selected to compete or train at a national or international level.
- Have endorsement from their National Governing Body (NGB).
Awards
- Two funding rounds per financial year.
- Each funding round covers 6-months
- Eligible athletes can apply for:
- Up to a maximum of £750 for travel and accommodation costs.
- Free facility access for 12 months.
