This exhibition is based on the simple but universal utensil of the spoon, an implement which crosses cultures, race, gender, ritual, symbolism and social hierarchies and has a long tradition of craftmaking.
Spoonful brings together a wide range of spoons from both Inverness Museum and the Highland Folk Museum, alongside new commissions from contemporary craftmakers – Stuart Cairns, Helena Emmans, Caroline Lingwood and Gabi Veit.
Spoonful is supported by Museums Galleries Scotland.
