Well‑behaved dogs are welcome in the museum’s outdoor areas as long as they are kept on a short lead at all times. Please note that, to protect our historic buildings and collections, dogs are not permitted inside buildings, shops, the café or toilets. (Assistance dogs are welcome everywhere.)
For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, please:
- Keep your dog with you and under control at all times
- Pick up after your dog and use the waste bins provided
- Be mindful that some visitors may be nervous around dogs
- Avoid letting dogs approach or disturb other visitors or museum animals
Water bowls are available across the site — just let a member of the team know if one needs refilled.
Only dogs are permitted; other animals cannot be brought onto the site.
