Tain Library, housed in the historic Carnegie building, offers a bright and welcoming space for reading, learning, and community activities. It is a vibrant hub for creativity, connection, and lifelong learning. Regular events include Bookbug sessions, Lego Club, reading and writing groups, chess, poetry, Shakespeare readings, and an LGBT+ social gathering. Visitors can enjoy a communal jigsaw or choose from a collection of over 100 puzzles to borrow. The library also hosts drop-in sessions for digital skills, adult learning, and ESOL. Most activities are free, with refreshments available for a small donation.

Our library can be approached be from either the North or South entrance of the A9. When driving in off A9 at Asda junction continue straight through all 3 cross roads, you will now be on Stafford Street, park at an appropriate space near the library. If driving in off A9 from Lidl continue driving straight until you reach the T junction just after the High Street at the Lamington Street end, take the left and drive uphill and left again at the cross road, you will now be on Stafford street, park at an appropriate space near Tain library.
