Membership:
Joining the library is free and there is no charge for borrowing books, using the computers, accessing the internet or using reference materials.
Loans:
- Books - free
- Children's audio books - free
- Audio books - £1 for 3 weeks
Requests:
- Items which are in High Life Highland Libraries' stock – FREE
- Cost of return postage for items which have to be borrowed from another library service using the inter-library loans scheme - maximum charge £10.00
Inter Library Loans:
Please note there may be additional charges where there are multiple parts to a work. We will contact you in advance of this to confirm if you wish to proceed. Renewal of items borrowed through the Inter-Library Loans scheme:
- first renewal - free
- subsequent renewals - £3.00 each
- photocopied articles obtained through the inter-library loans scheme - £2.00 for up to 10 pages, then 10p per page
Photocopying:
- A4 sheet (Black & White) - 20p
Double sided - 40p - A3 sheet (where available) (Black & White) – 30p
Double sided – 60p - A4 sheet (Colour) - 50p
Double-sided - £1.00 - A3 sheet (where available) (Colour) - £1.00p
Double sided - £2.00
Printing:
- Computer printout - 20p per side
- Microfilm or fiche copying - 75p per page
Sales:
- Publications and promotional items - retail price
- Earphones - £1 per pair (first set free)
Lost membership card:
Replacement of lost membership card - £2.50
Lost or damaged items:
Full replacement cost is charged.
