Inverness Leisure cancellations


We understand that plans can change, and you may need to cancel a booking. The following guidelines explain how much notice is required and what refund options are available, helping us offer your slot to other customers. Please note this page refers to Inverness Leisure only, cancellation information for other leisure centres can be found here.
 

Pay as you play bookings


Includes: Fitness classes, gym inductions, sports halls, programmes, GP referrals

  • All bookings must be paid for at the time of booking or within 24 hours. Unpaid bookings will be cancelled without notification.
  • Refunds are available only if cancellation is made at least 48 hours in advance.
  • If High Life Highland cancels the booking, a full refund will be issued.
  • Bookings made less than 48 hours in advance must be paid for immediately.

High Life members – fitness classes

  • If you no longer need your class booking, please cancel it to free up the space for others.
  • If you book and fail to attend three times within two months, your online booking access will be restricted for one month.
  • Repeated misuse may result in suspension of online booking privileges.


Swimming lessons and Kidz activities

  • All bookings must be paid for at the time of booking or within 24 hours. Unpaid bookings will be cancelled without notification.
  • If a customer misses two lessons without notifying us, they will be removed from the class.
  • Customers on the waiting list who decline two offers will be removed from the list.
  • If you book and pay for swimming lessons or Kidz activities, then join High Life after the term starts, no refund will be given for that term.
  • If you join High Life and later cancel your membership, you’ll be issued a slip and asked to either rejoin or pay for the remaining lessons in the term.
  • If you cancel during the current term, no refund will be given for the remaining lessons.
  • If you cancel before the term starts, a refund will only be issued if the cancellation is made within 7 days of booking.

Training courses

  • Full payment must be made on booking, at least 7 days prior to the course start date.
  • Cancellation by the customer more than 7 days before the course start date will result in a 50% refund. If cancelled more than 28 days before the course start date, a full refund will be given.
  • No refund will be given within 7 days of the course start date, including if the candidate leaves during the course.
  • Cancellations should be made initially by phone and followed up in writing.
  • Inverness Leisure reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any course if minimum numbers are not met. In this case, a full refund will be issued.

Events

  • Event bookings made less than 2 months in advance must be paid for within 14 days of booking. All other events must be paid in full 30 days before the event date. Failure to meet these payment deadlines will result in cancellation.
  • Refunds will only be issued if cancellation is made at least 60 days in advance.
  • A full refund will be given if Inverness Leisure cancels the event.
  • Event organisers are strongly advised to have adequate insurance to cover costs in case of cancellation or curtailment due to circumstances beyond Inverness Leisure’s control.
