About our facilities
At High Life Highland, we aim for the highest standards of inclusivity. This page shares helpful information about our changing and showering areas so you know what to expect before you visit.
Changing areas at Lochaber Leisure Centre
Lochaber Leisure Centre provides dedicated communal changing areas for customers who require additional assistance. These areas include:
- A height-adjustable, adult-sized changing bench
- A tracking hoist system
- A shower
- Adequate space for the disabled person and up to two carers
- A centrally placed toilet with room on both sides for carers
- A large waste bin for disposable pads
There is one accessible changing area located along from reception, together with a second accessible changing room in the hydrotherapy pool area.
Wetside changing
Customer changing facilities for the pools and health suite follow a modern layout with no gender-specific areas. This setup allows users to access individual private cubicles for changing before and after bathing.
Most showering facilities on the wetside are communal and intended for a quick rinse, with swimwear remaining on. Private showers are also available for use.
In addition, there is a dedicated family changing room, which incorporate three private cubicles and baby changing equipment.
Lockers are located throughout the changing facilities and operate via a £1 coin deposit.
Dryside changing
The dryside changing facilities are gender-specific communal layouts. Our female changing rooms include three private changing spaces.
Each changing room leads to its respective shower area. Male showers are communal, while female showers contain private cubicles.
Lockers on the dry side are located in both changing rooms and operate via a £1 coin deposit.
