Ferrycroft Visitor Centre » About Ferrycroft

Ferrycroft is an Information and Heritage Centre with a shop and toilets. There are games, displays and experiences for all ages. Admission is free.

There is ample parking (turning space for larger vehicle / caravans) and lawned gardens with wood carvings, seating and play area (swings, climbing frame, zip wire etcetera). The centre is fully wheelchair accessible.

Two walks start from Ferrycroft, the first is the Ord Hill Archaeological Trail (hut circles, burnt mound, chambered cairns), the other walk is Ferrywood with a ruined broch, views of Shin Dam and lochside path.

Ferrycroft has a garden and play area. There is a gift shop selling Highland sourced or themed goods.

There are three separate display rooms covering “Water”, “Land” and “People” plus at times additional, temporary features (e.g. Local History Society). For the younger ones there is an animal hide and seek, colouring, “Nature Detective” questions and games.

Toilet facilities include a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities in the ladies.
