Elissa Stevenson, Active Schools Co-ordinator with High Life Highland said: “It was brilliant to have the pupils together for another sporting event. We ran the tournament in a slightly different format which allowed us to increase the numbers of pupils per school and we were delighted to welcome the North West Sutherland school pupils over again this year.

“There were lots of really great games with close rallies and it was particularly pleasing to see the good sportsmanship on show between the opponents by passing shuttle cocks to each other between points, cheering on their team mates and shaking hands at the end of the matches.

“A very big thank you to Golspie High School Young Leaders, Rory, CJ and Andrew as well as Brandon from North West Sutherland Schools Brandon for helping on the day. Also to PE Teacher Mrs Sutherland and volunteer Gayle MacRae.”
