Impressive results at Lochaber schools cross country

Nevis Range was the location for the recent Lochaber Active Schools primary cross country races with more than 80 children taking part.

43 boys and 41 girls from across the region did their schools proud with some impressive results to show for all the training in the run up to the competition and the amazing efforts on display on the day.

And the team results were: 1st – Banavie; 2nd – Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Loch Abar and 3rd – Caol.

Claire Delaney, Active Schools Coordinator for the Fort William cluster said: “What a fantastic turn out for our recent cross country running event at Nevis Range. All the pupils taking part gave it their all over the mile and a half course. A massive thank you to everyone for showing such enthusiasm and particularly our volunteer marshals.”
