MK Thomson is an award-winning contemporary figurative oil painter from Ullapool, Scotland. She paints the human body with a focus on physicality, monumentality, and ambiguity. In a development of Thomson’s obsession with the uncertainty of life, The Perpetual Now presents a new series of paintings that consider the finite nature of physical being and the contemporary crisis of collective future. The Perpetual Now questions what it means to exist in an endless present.
