Regular activities

Culloden Library hosts a range of regular activities that are welcome to all. Please refer to the list below to find out more information about each activity. You can also keep an eye out for upcoming activities on the library notice boards and the Culloden Library Facebook events page.

Bookbug

Regular Bookbug sessions take place on Friday mornings from 10:15 – 10:45.

Bedtime Bookbug - 18:30 to 19:00 - First Tuesday of Every month (subject to change - please check with library)-  For this special Bookbug, we put the lights down for a cosy calm session. Wee ones can come in their jammies so they are ready just to fall in to bed afterwards.

Lego Club

Every Wednesday, 15:30 - 16:30.

Reading with Dogs

Join Shona and her Therapet dog Aonghy (a gentle Greenland Dog) for our 'Reading with Dogs' session every Tuesday evening, 17:00-18:00. Aimed at young readers looking to build confidence in their reading skills. Booking in advance is required.

Nature Club - 15:30-16:30 on the last Tuesday of every month- part of the Cultivating Climate Champions project funded by SLIC. This is aimed at pupils in Primary 4 to 7. It is free but children should be booked on in advance through the General Activities Booking page on the HLH website.

Writer's Club - 13:00-16:00 (drop in) on the last Tuesday of every month. It's a quiet space, conducive to creativity with like minded folk to bounce ideas off. All welcome.

Craft Social - 10:30-12:00 - Every Monday - Bring along your latest project and enjoy some crafting and chat in our lovely cosy library. All welcome.


Culloden Leisure Centre activities

Culloden Library hosts a small number of leisure classes delivered by Culloden Leisure Centre. These include Pilates, Yoga and other community activities.

  • Pilates and Yoga
    Pilates and Yoga classes take place in the library and can be booked here: View timetable
     
  • The Youth Club is a drop‑in session, so no booking is required.

    It is open to:

    • Young people who attend Culloden Academy, or
    • Young people who live in the Culloden Academy catchment area
    • Minimum age: S1
    • Transition period: P7 pupils moving up to S1 are welcome to attend during the summer between P7 and S1.
       
  • Disability Sport activities
    HLH Disability Sport run Disability Fitness, Adult Boccia, and Junior Boccia sessions in the library. These activities can be booked here: Search for an activity
