Young golfers from primary schools in and around Nairn showcased their skills, determination and sportsmanship at this year's Nairn Primary Schools Golf Competition, kindly hosted by Nairn Golf Club.
A day on the course
The event, which took place last week, brought together pupils from local primary schools for a day of friendly competition.
Participants enjoyed the opportunity to test their golfing abilities on one of the area's best golf courses.
The competition was further supported by a team of dedicated High Life Highland Young Leaders. They played an important role throughout the day, assisting competitors around the course and helping to deliver a positive experience for everyone involved.
…what stood out most was the respect, encouragement and sportsmanship shown by all the pupils throughout the day.

- 3rd place: Finlay Collins (Millbank Primary School)
Sportsmanship from start to finish
The competition highlighted not only the impressive golfing talent among local youngsters but also the excellent sportsmanship displayed throughout the day, with pupils encouraging and supporting one another from start to finish.
Deanna Lundie, Active Schools Co-ordinator for the Nairn cluster, said: "It was fantastic to see so many young people taking part in this year's golf competition and enjoying the opportunity to play at Nairn Golf Club. The standard of golf was incredibly high, but what stood out most was the respect, encouragement and sportsmanship shown by all the pupils throughout the day. Events like this provide valuable opportunities for children to develop confidence, learn new skills and enjoy being active.
