The opening of the new Nairn Academy this autumn is set to bring exciting new opportunities for both leisure users and job seekers, as High Life Highland prepares to expand our leisure services in the town.
As part of the new school's community facilities provision, we'll be operating the sports hall and pitches outside school hours, creating additional opportunities for local people to access sport, fitness and wellbeing activities. To support this expansion, we're now looking to grow our team across both the new academy facilities and the existing Nairn Leisure Centre.

A range of positions will be available, including contractual and relief roles, with full training provided.
Fraser Tulloch, Senior Operations Manager at High Life Highland, said: "We're really excited about the opening of the new Nairn Academy and the opportunities it brings for both our customers and our staff.
"The new facility will allow us to significantly expand our leisure offering, providing a wider range of group fitness classes and activities for the people of Nairn and the surrounding area. It's a fantastic opportunity to help more people improve their health, wellbeing and participation in sport and physical activity.
"To make that happen, we need to grow our team. Whether you're a young person taking your first steps into employment, someone looking for a career change, or simply interested in gaining new skills and have a passion for leisure, we'd love to hear from you.
"And people should not be put off if they don't think they have the necessary knowledge or qualifications right now, as full training is available so previous leisure industry experience is not essential."
Meet us at recruitment week
To help people find out more about working in the leisure industry, we'll be hosting a Recruitment Week at Nairn Leisure Centre from Monday 3 to Sunday 9 August. Throughout the week, members of the public will be able to drop in, meet the team and learn more about the opportunities available.
Share your skills with the community
Importantly, we're not only looking for people seeking permanent employment. We're also keen to hear from individuals with specialist skills and qualifications who may be interested in delivering occasional classes or activities in their spare time.
Fraser added: "There are lots of people within our community who already have valuable skills and qualifications, whether that's football coaching, spin instruction, yoga teaching or other fitness-related expertise.
"You don't need to be looking for a full-time role. For some people, this could simply be an opportunity to share something they're passionate about, earn a little extra income and help others stay active and healthy."
