Temporary closure of Nairn Leisure Centre's swimming pool for essential works
The swimming pool at Nairn Leisure Centre is having to close for two weeks while essential works are carried out within the plant room, which will result in improvements to the pool and ultimately the customer experience.
Various works will be undertaken by contractors during the shutdown period which will run from 23th March to 5th April (inclusive). However, the centre’s gym and fitness classes will continue to operate throughout this time for customers. The pool is scheduled to re-open at 8am to 2pm on Monday 6th April (Easter Monday - public holiday hours).
High Life Highland and The Highland Council’s investment in the upgrade of control panels and other works will improve efficiency and sustainability at Nairn Leisure Centre for the future.
Our gym will remain open during the pool shutdown and if anyone hasn’t used the gym previously – and would like a gym induction so they can ensure they’re continuing with their health and wellbeing activities – they can contact us at Nairn Leisure and we would be happy to arrange this.
Richie Hanna, Facility Manager for High Life Highland said: “We are extremely sorry to our valued customers that we are having to close the pool for two weeks while these essential and important works are carried out. We hope that the long-term benefits will far outweigh the inconvenience caused by the temporary closure.
“We are contacting our members directly to inform them of the situation and will relay any necessary information in relation to swimming lessons and other pool activities as part of those communications.
