Young gymnasts across Lochaber will soon be 'vaulting' into an exciting new chapter as High Life Highland prepares to launch a new gymnastics programme in Fort William, ensuring the much-loved sport continues to thrive in the area.

Sessions for all ages

Starting from 30 October at Lochaber High School, our new programme will offer sessions for children and young people of all ages, from tots taking their first steps into gymnastics to teenagers looking to develop their skills and confidence.

Booking opens from 8 October on the High Life Highland activities page.

Familiar faces leading the way

Importantly for families already involved in the sport, the familiar faces who have inspired generations of local gymnasts will still be at the heart of the programme. The experienced coaching team will continue to deliver the fun, supportive and high-quality sessions that participants have come to know and love.

Included in your highlife membership

Previously delivered by Lochaber Gymnastics Club, the programme will now run under the High Life Highland banner, ensuring gymnastics remains accessible to local children and young people.

In another boost for families, gymnastics is now included within our highlife membership, meaning members can take part at no additional cost. Non-members will be able to attend for £5.50 per session.

Building on a proud legacy

Rebecca Maclean, Active Schools Coordinator, said: "We're absolutely delighted to be bringing gymnastics into the High Life Highland programme and to continue offering these fantastic opportunities for children and young people across Lochaber.

"Lochaber Gymnastics Club has played an incredibly important role in the community for many years, helping countless young people grow in confidence, develop new skills and form lasting friendships. We are proud to be building on that legacy and ensuring gymnastics continues to have a strong future in the area.

"One of the things we are most excited about is being able to retain the excellent coaching team. Their experience, enthusiasm and commitment have been key to the success of gymnastics in Lochaber, and their continued involvement will provide a familiar and welcoming environment for participants."
