This autumn, visitors to Inverness Botanic Gardens & Café can immerse themselves in the sights and wildlife of Scotland's coast as Highland artist Renate Jephcott returns with a new exhibition inspired by the country's dramatic shorelines.
'Littoral Aspects' is Renate's third solo exhibition at the popular High Life Highland attraction, celebrating the beauty, energy and biodiversity of Scotland's coastal environments through a collection of new artworks.
A reputation for capturing wildlife in its habitat
Renate has built a reputation for capturing birds in their natural habitats, conveying both the character of the species and the atmosphere of the landscapes they inhabit.
Gannets, guillemots and geese feature in the exhibition, reflecting countless hours spent observing and sketching wildlife through the seasons along Scotland's cliffs and shorelines.
The exhibition highlights the rich relationship between land, sea and wildlife, offering visitors a glimpse into these fragile and fascinating ecosystems.
I'm continually drawn to Scotland's dramatic coastline and its precious seabirds. The sights, sounds and energy of these wild places keep me sketching for hours. I'm delighted to be able to share my work with visitors to Inverness Botanic Gardens & Café over the coming weeks.

'Littoral Aspects' offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience Scotland's coastal wildlife through the eyes of an artist whose work is deeply rooted in observation and a passion for the natural world.
The exhibition runs until the end of October and is free to view during the Botanic Gardens' opening hours.
