Working in the Highlands

Photographs taken by members of Inverness Camera Club

Tuesday 9 August – Saturday 10 September 2016, Community Gallery and Room to Discover

This year’s exhibition from Inverness Camera Club includes images of the many faces and aspects of “Working in the Highlands”.  The portrait series includes many well-keCAIT6nt faces from throughout the region, engaged in tasks from tailoring to smelting.  The show displays the diversity of talent within the club, many of whose members take part in local, national and international salons and exhibitions either individually or as club entry, and is proud of its achievement and recognition over many years in those activities.

In addition, several club members have gained notable distinctions within the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).

‘Working in the Highlands’ will be accompanied by a small display of IMAG’s own collections representing a variety of Highland occupations throughout the centuries.

All of the exhibits are for sale at a cost of £50 each, with a percentage of the cost being donated to the club and to the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery.

The exhibition is being shown in two locations, the Community Gallery and Room to Discover.  Room to Discover is sometimes used for other activities. Please call 01463 237114 before making a special visit to this exhibition.
