Caithness based contemporary jeweller, Lindsey Gallacher’s new range is the result of experimentation adn exploration of the qualities of the local Caithness flagstone. This exhibition presents how her jewellery has developed through the incorporation of precious metals with the stone. Pieces range from large tactile necklaces to tiny delicate earrings. Lindsey has also included the use of lichen-covered stone to highlight the character of this fascinating material and how it has shaped the local landscape. The work was supported by the Visual Artist and Craft Maker Award 2016, which allowed Lindsey to purchase a stone cutting machine. #InvMAG
