Ness Hydro

The Highland Council has declared a Climate and Ecological emergency and aspires to be net zero by 2025. The River Ness Hydro scheme will help reduce the organisation’s carbon footprint, and further generation and use of renewable energy. A 93kW hydroelectric power twin turbine will generate an estimated 550,000 kWh per annum, suppling the nearby Inverness Leisure Centre with approximately 50% of their electricity use.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club

Twenty-five years ago, Inverness came together. Two football clubs were united. Joined as one, they became a team for all the community.

Highland RFC

Founded in 1922, Highland RFC is the largest club in Inverness and caters for all ages.

From Micro and Mini teams all the way up to senior teams, an over 35s team, and women’s and girls’ teams; anyone interested in playing rugby is welcome.

The club prides itself on its quality of coaching, its strong community of volunteers and its involvement with local schools throughout the community.

Inverness Leisure has 2 large swimming pools a competition pool for lane swimming and a leisure pool with a large wave pool, river with jets and geysers, 3 flume rides and an outdoor (thistle shaped) pool, family-sized spa bath and toddler pool it really is the biggest water-fun in the Highlands.

The competition pool at Inverness Leisure is a fully approved 25 metre by 8 lane swimming pool.  It also has a moveable floor which allows additional benefits to the pool and swimming lesson programme.
