Spooky Fun at the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre – Halloween Trail Returns!

Families are invited to step into the shadows this Halloween as High Life Highland’s Spooky Trail returns to the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre on Thursday 30th October from 1730-1930.

Now in its third year, the trail has quickly become one of Fort William’s most anticipated Halloween highlights. Brave visitors can wander through the woods after dusk, where ghostly apparitions, pumpkin ghouls, and even zombie hands await.

The event is set up and managed by the High Life Highland Countryside Ranger Service, with the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre providing a warm welcome. Inside, teas, coffees, and squash will be available, alongside craft activities, spooky story telling suitable for smaller children and sweet treats for those arriving in their spookiest costumes.

Past trails have attracted over 100 family participants, making it a firm favourite with the local community.

Ewan Thorburn, Ben Nevis Visitor Centre Manager, said: “The Spooky Trail has become a fantastic annual tradition here in Glen Nevis. It’s brilliant to see families return year after year, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another evening of Halloween fun.”

Fiona MacLean, Countryside Ranger, added: “Our team loves bringing the trail to life, setting up creepy woodland scenes and watching children and adults enjoy the spooky atmosphere. It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween outdoors and enjoy the magic of the season together.”

So, dig out your costumes, gather your courage, and join us for a frightfully fun evening at the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre.
