Ardnamurchan teams came out on top at the recent (22 May) inter schools rugby competition in Fort William.
Pupils from Mallaig, Adnamurchan and Kinlochleven battled it out in the sunny conditions, with some fantastic skills on show.
In the girls final a Mallaig/Kinlochleven mixed squad just missed out on the crown with one try pushing Adnamurchan to glory.
Meanwhile it was two Adnamurchan boys teams that made the final having demolished the opposition to get there.
Claire Delaney, High Life Highland Active School Co-ordinator said: “A massive well done to all the pupils who took in our recent rugby tournament and particularly Adnamurchan on their amazing performance. Events like these are a great opportunity for pupils from different areas to get together for sports and fun. We’re looking forward to the next one already!
“Our sincere thanks to everyone who made this event possible, particularly Stevie MacAleer from Lochaber Rugby Club for hosting and refereeing. Also to Linda Campbell, Peter Jackson and all at Kilmallie Shinty Club for the use of the facilities for the day.”
