This basic self catering accommodation is beautifully situated on the shore of Loch Slapin underneath the Red Cuillin, and just one mile from the parking for Blaven and Clach Glas. It is an ideal base for walking and climbing, navigation training, sea kayaking and a variety of other activities as well as studying the environment and its inhabitants.
The centre sleeps 18 people and consists of 4 x 4 bedded bunk rooms, 1 x 2 bedded bunk room, 2 shower rooms/toilets, communal area and kitchen with a small drying room. There is no mobile phone reception around Torrin but wifi is available within the centre.
To get there, cross the Skye Bridge and follow the main road (A87) to Broadford. Just past the Shell petrol station take a left to Elgol. After 5.5 miles, you enter the scattered houses of Torrin. Go through the village, the centre is the last building, on the left.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and all bedding is provided.
This centre is not fully staffed but the centre is regularly cleaned.

This centre is situated just 10 miles from Fort William on the Mallaig road, (the ‘Road to the Isles’), Kinlocheil Outdoor Centre is an ideal base for family groups, youth groups and clubs wishing to take advantage of the wealth of outdoor activities available in the area.
The centre is let on a exclusive use basis with a minimum 2 night stay.
From climbing on Ben Nevis and other nearby hills, skiing at Aonoch Mor and Glencoe, mountain biking, canoeing and kayaking, fishing or lazing on the beaches at nearby Arisaig – it’s a wonderful base from which to explore.
The building is an old schoolhouse, set back from the main road in a delightful small garden, looking out over Loch Eil, with parking space for several cars available. It offers bunkhouse style accommodation for up to 12 people (in three rooms) a kitchen, drying room and ablution facilities. Approaching from Fort William, the building is well signposted on the right, approximately 1 mile after the sign announcing Kinlocheil, about 10 miles from the roundabout north of Fort William.
