Dates: Monday 5th to Saturday 10th August from 8am to 5pm for the full week.
Course Venue: Inverness Leisure
All candidates have to complete a pre-requisite swim test which can be organised through Shelley Davies or Ian Munro at Inverness Leisure.
Cut off date for any candidates wishing to go on the course will be Friday 2nd August at 5pm so we can ensure all the paperwork can be set up and ready.
Pre requisite swim test and Course details are below
– dive in the pool
– swim 2 lengths front crawl
– swim 2 lengths breast stroke
– swim 2 lengths side stroke (advice will be given on the day as not all candidates understand what side stroke is)
– dive down 2 metres to pick up a mannequin from the bottom of the pool without the use of goggles
– swim 50 metres within 60 seconds
– swim 10 lengths any stroke and climb out (this is to check stamina in the pool and you can take your time when completing this as long as it is continuous swimming)
