West Highland Museum collections available at the Archives

The archival collections held in the West Highland Museum have recently been transferred to the Lochaber Archive Centre.

Over the years, the Museum has acquired a large and varied group of records relating to the history of Lochaber, including a substantial collection of Jacobite and general Scottish historical material dating back to the early 17th century, the papers of Arisaig Estate, the records of the Ben Nevis Observatory and several smaller collections of valuable Lochaber material.

These collections are now available for research and consultation at Lochaber Archive Centre.
