Become an Independent Director at High Life Highland

High Life Highland (HLH) is looking for two new non executive independent directors to join its Trading Board.

As a community interest company, HLH Trading Board’s purpose is to generate income, largely through catering and retail, with profits gift-aided back to the main charity.

The Trading Board plays an essential role in providing strategic direction, governance, expert advice and support to its senior management team.

It meets several times a year and includes four directors from the main charity board and five independent directors.

Chair of the HLH Trading Board Michael Golding said: “This is an exciting time to join us at High Life Highland and a great opportunity to be part of the Trading Board when several key projects are progressing.

“We’ve recently opened the North Coast Visitor Centre in Thurso and work is underway on the Inverness Castle transformation, due to open as a tourist attraction in 2025.”

To continue to increase the diversity of the Trading Board, HLH would welcome applications from women, people from a range of backgrounds, and those who represent the breadth of geography in which High Life Highland delivers its services.
