Caithness International Science Festival

As part of the Caithness International Science Festival 2019 we have two exciting events coming up at Nucleus: The Nuclear & Caithness Archives.

On Saturday 9th March Martin Robb ( Nuclear Decommissioning Authority) will be giving at talk on the

Decommissioning of the Fuel Cycle.

The evening will draw on Martin’s wealth of knowledge and experience of the Nuclear industry, and will feature historic films from across the nuclear estate dating back to the 1950’s.

On Friday 15th March James Gunn (Dounreay) will be giving a talk at Nucleus on

The Early Years of Dounreay.

The presentation will be supported by a display of objects and images from the Dounreay archive.

Both these events free and open to public guest, and through them we hope to shed a little light on what we do at Nucleus and the wider role the archive plays in the UK Nuclear Industry.

Nucleus is a supporter of the Caithness International Science Festival which promotes STEM subjects to schools and the public.
