Wireless Internet Access (Wi-Fi)

To access HLH-Guest Wi-Fi service, you need to be a current HLH library member. Please enter your library borrower number and 4 digit PIN (available from staff if you do not know this). If you use an NEC or Young Scot card as your library card, please only enter first 14 digits of your card number.

Each session lasts 1 hour after which you can logon again as required, but it is important to note that you can only logon with 1 device per session.

The free service is designed to allow easy access to Email, web browsing and social media. If you do need to download any large files or stream videos, please use one of the Public Access computers located within HLH public and community libraries.

Using Free Wi-Fi in the library

To use Wi-Fi in the library make sure you have turned off 3G and 4G  mobile data and turn on W-fi on your mobile device settings.

Go to Wi-Fi settings and select ‘HLH-GUEST-WLAN’

Open your internet browser and login using your library barcarole and four digit PIN number. When you Login, you will be taken to the High Life Highland home page.
