We understand that our customers may require to cancel a booking once it has been made.  The following information offers clear guidance as to how much notice Inverness Leisure requires for a cancellation in order that we can offer a pre-booked slot or activity to other customers.

Pay As You Play Bookings – Sports Halls / Gym Inductions / Programmes / GP Referrals

  • All bookings must be paid for upon booking or within 24 hours of making the booking, failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the booking without notification.  Refunds will only be issued in the event of a cancellation provided the customer has given a minimum of 48 hours notice.  A full refund will be given in event of cancellation by Inverness Leisure.
  • Where a booking is made less than 48 hours in advance, payment must be made at the time of booking.
  • High Life customers failing to attend a booking will have a note added to their account and in the event of a second non attendance will have their advance booking privilege withdrawn for a period of one month, any further issues will be dealt with by management.

Training Courses

  • Full payment must be made on booking, at least 7 days prior to course start date.
  • Cancellation by the customer more than 7 days in advance of course start date will result in 50% refund of the total cost of the course. Where the customer cancels more than 28 days before the course start date a full refund will be given.
  • No refund will be given within 7 days of the course start date (including if candidate leaves during duration of course).
  • Cancellations should be made initially by phone and must be followed up in writing.
  • Inverness Leisure reserve the right with due notification, to re-schedule or cancel any course if candidate numbers are not reached. In this instance a full refund of their payment will be made.

High Life Cards

Terms and Conditions & Policies for High Life Highland Leisure

  • The cardholder must report to reception and show their card on every visit, prior to participating in any activity, except where there is a ‘fast-track’ entry system, otherwise the full price may be charged.
  • Cards are not transferable and any use other than by the cardholder will result in immediate cancellation of the card with no refund.
  • Cardholders are required to allow a facial photographic record to be stored with membership details.
  • High Life Highland reserves the right to refuse any application.
  • High Life Highland reserves the right to add/ remove activities from the programme at any time.
  • High Life Highland reserves the right to charge additional fees for selected activities/classes. Additional charges will be clearly indicated at point of purchase.
  • High Life Highland reserves the right to review prices at any time. Members will be given a minimum of 14 days notice of any proposed change.
  • If you wish at any time to cancel your Direct Debit please write to us, giving at least 28 days notice.
  • Please let us know if you lose your card. We will arrange a new one for you.
  • Facilities may on occasion be closed for repair and maintenance work, or in the event of unforeseen circumstances. However, if your nominated leisure centre is closed for more than 2 weeks, credit will be given for every additional full week closed beyond the first two weeks.
  • Budget cardholders will be required to provide evidence of current status every 6 months of membership.
  • The High Life card remains the property of High Life Highland (except where your nominated site is not a High Life Highland site, where the card remains the property of the appropriate facility).
  • High Life Highland reserves the right to review the terms and conditions at any point and to make reasonable changes.

Swimming Lessons & Kidz Activities

  • All bookings must be paid for upon booking or within 24 hours of making the booking, failure to do so will result in cancellation of the booking without notification.
  • If a customer misses 2 lessons without notification they will be removed from the class.
  • If a customer on the waiting list declines two offers of a place in the programme they will be removed from the list.
  • If a customer books and pays for swimming lessons or Kidz activities then decides to join High Life following the start of term, they will not receive a refund for that term.
  • If a customer joins High Life then cancels they will receive a slip to advise them of this and they will be asked to either rejoin or pay the remaining lessons within that term.
  • In the event of a cancellation by the customer during the current term no refund will be given for the remainder of that term.  A full refund will be given in the event of cancellation by Inverness Leisure,
  • If a customer cancels a booking and requests a refund before the term starts, a refund will only be issued to the customer provided they have cancelled the booking within 7 days of the booking being processed.

Events

  • All event bookings made less than 2 months in advance must be paid for within 14 days of booking.  All other events are payable in full 30 days prior to event date, failure adhere to this payment schedule will result in the cancellation of the booking.
  • A refund will only be issued in the event of a cancellation provided the customer has given a minimum of 60 days notice.  A full refund will be given in the event of cancellation by Inverness Leisure.
  • All event organisers are strongly advised to ensure they have adequate insurance cover in place to cover all costs associated with their event should cancellation/curtailment of the event be required for any reason out with the control of Inverness Leisure.
