The Scottish Youth Parliament is the democratically elected voice of Scotland’s young people.

There are six Highland Members of Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPs) – two members for each of the three constituency areas. MSYPs are elected every two years.

MSYPs attend three national sittings per year and feed back to HYP members. They also attend Local Youth Forum meetings and HYP conferences.

The current MSYPs are:

MSYP Inverness and Nairn – Hamish Nott studying at University of Highlands from Nethy Bridge

MSYP Inverness and Nairn – Ziva Kinsman from Inverness/Millburn

MSYP Caithness, Sutherland and Ross – Jamie Dickson from Alness

MSYP Caithness, Sutherland and Ross – Megan Travers from Wick

MSYP Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch – Vacancy – a bi election will take place soon

MSYP Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch – Rory Young from Lochaber
