The Mahler Players – Wagner: Tristan und Isolde

The Mahler Players present two gala performances of the second Act from Wagner’s searingly intense opera Tristan und Isolde. Joining us are five soloists of world-renown, including one of the world’s most legendary basses, Sir John Tomlinson, singing a role for which he has provided the benchmark for decades: King Marke. This is a new chamber orchestra version for 35 players by Matthew King and Peter Longworth.
