sportscotland in partnership with Children 1st have created a new training resource for Safeguarding in Sport. This new resource is now called Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport (CWPS) and replaces the UK Coaching Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop (SPC).

As part of the workshop, you must complete a short eLearning module on ‘Brightspace’ [sportscotland’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)] prior to attending the three hour workshop. You will receive an email link to complete this around 2 weeks before the course start date.

The workshop itself is a child protection awareness course that helps participants to identify good coaching practice and understand what constitutes abuse and how to take appropriate action if abuse is suspected.  Due to Covid-19 this workshop will be delivered on a virtual classroom platform.

Minimum age 16, parental consent required for Under 18’s attending.

Cost: £20 per person (Course Code: 003452INRA)
