We followed Andy Summers down to his local beach at Clachtoll on the #NC500 route for a spot of beach-combing and heritage. As the weather starts to improve why plan yourself a seashore safari of your own. #visitscotland #thinkhealththinknature #TeamHLH #HLHMoreThanLeisure #CountrysideRanger #beachfinds #Naturaltreasure

SEASONAL ACCESS RANGERS WANTED (10 posts)
We are looking for people to act as the eyes & ears for various Council services and to work in co-operation with other organisations, landowners and communities.
The job will cover sites owned and/or managed by the Council and other partners, to promote the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and to contribute to the Visitor Management Plan in response to the expected high visitor pressure as we emerge from the Covid 19 lockdown.
The key role is working with visitors & residents providing on hand communication and advice; talking with people in clear, positive and persuasive ways to encourage responsible outdoor access. You will work weekends and some evenings within a 35 hours working week. This will involve working on your own, or in a small team, as well as working with partner organisations and their ranger teams.
A vehicle will be provided for patrolling the assigned area only, but there will be no office base. Post holders need to be adaptable and flexible with the job description as we need to be reactive to changes in visitor use through the season as well as our partner organisations.
Please state on the form which area(s) of Highland you are interested in applying for.
Prior to confirming appointment, we will require successful candidates to become members of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
Please APPLY ONLINE at www.myjobscotland.gov.uk/councils/highland-council/jobs quoting HGH10083. If you are unable to apply online and you wish to request an offline application pack, please contact Business Support HR Hub C&L Tel: 01349 868640 (24 hour voicemail) quoting the post reference number above
