What’s Going On in March?

Nucleus: The Nuclear and Caithness Archives are proud to once again participate in the Caithness International Science Festival.

Make sure you come along and see our Science and Industry exhibition featuring plans and manuscripts of some of Caithness’s greatest architectural and engineering feats from the 20th century. Held in our building, it is viewable Monday-Friday from 9:00 – 5:00.

Our talk from Anne Fraser on Highland Scientists is on the 12th of March at 6 PM in Nucleus.

We also have a fascinating exhibition on loan from the Royal Society of Edinburgh, ‘Women in Science’. This exhibition features 26 of the Society’s most innovative and pioneering women. You can see this in our Community Room.

For more details and to see the other events, check out the Science Festival’s website.

We are also holding a Family History Open Day on March 28th, in collaboration with the Caithness Family History Society. They along with ourselves, and Family Historian Anne Fraser, from the Highland Archive Centre will all be available to help answer any genealogy queries you may have and help you with your family trees.
