Lochaber Archive Centre Open Day

We are pleased to announce that Lochaber Archive Centre will be reopening on 20th September, as the relocation of the archive collections to the new facility within Alexander Ross House (formerly Fort William Primary School) on Achintore Road, Fort William, is now complete.

Ahead of the public re-opening we would like to invite you to attend a preview open afternoon at the new Lochaber Archive Centre on Wednesday 19th September between 1:30pm and 4:00pm. A diverse range of archives will be on display and there will a chance to go behind-the-scenes to view the strongroom where the collections are housed.  There will also be an opportunity to meet our newly-appointed member of staff for Lochaber Archive Centre, Eilidh MacColl, and to discuss engagement and collection possibilities with the team.

From Thursday 20th September, the Archive Centre will be open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 10am-1pm and 2pm-5.00pm.

We hope you are able to join us and look forward to welcoming you to the new Lochaber Archive Centre.
