This exhibition brings together contemporary designers working in Britain and explores different materials, concepts and making processes used in furniture alongside key historical pieces from the Highland Folk Museum’s fantastic collection. Featuring exquisite furniture from four Scottish makers; Duke Christie, Kevin Gauld, Gavin Robertson and Angus Ross, as well as eight films commissioned by the National Centre for Craft & Design which shine a light into the artists’ studios, demonstrating their use of conventional hand-crafting techniques alongside modern technologies.
