Unmasked

Lunchtime talk by Hew Morrison

Join us as we reveal a new portrait of Charles Edward Stuart by forensic artist Hew Morrison.  Using a cast from Bonnie Prince Charlie’s death mask held in our museum collection and the latest techniques in forensic art, Hew has created a striking new portrait of the Prince.

The portrait, cast and a dress suit said to have belonged to Bonnie Prince Charlie, will form a new display in our Jacobite Gallery.  Hew’s lunch time talk, Unmasked, will explore the journey of the death mask from Italy to Inverness and investigate if the suit really was fit for a King…or a Prince.  Hew will also talk about the process involved in creating the most realistic image of Bonnie Prince Charlie.  Part of the Esmee Fairbairn Collections Fund project. #InvMAG #Unmasked
