Introduction to Watercolour

Led by Jana Emburey

© Jana Emburey

These sessions are suitable for beginners but are also useful as a refresher.  You will be introduced to the tools and materials used in this medium and start your watercolour journey.  We will explore plant life and a variety of objects, drawing and painting from real life.  The watercolour classes will be at introduction/beginners level and we will carry on with the same subjects we have been working on so far in the Drawing Classes – real life objects and, while everything is still green, we will start with plants. In the 4th class on the 30 Sept we can do drawing/painting at Inverness Botanic Gardens.  We start with a very basic colour palette, make various textures/effects, talk about colour theory, make a colour wheel to see how colours interact etc.

Classes begin on Saturday 2 September 2023 and continue on these dates:
Saturday 9 September
Saturday 23 September
Saturday 30 September (this class will take place at Inverness Botanic Gardens)
Saturday 7 October
Saturday 14 October

You will need to bring your own materials – a list will be provided upon booking.
£25.00 per session – booking is essential.  Classes can be booked individually or in a block.
