Our popular Heritage in Action Days return for 2019 this summer. On the 11, 18 & 25 July, 1, 8 & 15 August you can enjoy demonstrations across the site of traditional skills, from spinning and weaving to cooking, waulking the cloth, pole lathe and lots more!
Township – Visitors to the township can see a range of traditional crafts including weaving, spinning and pole lathe.
Croft – In our 1930’s Croft visitors can see rope-making in action, listen to traditional accordion music and even have a go at milking Mhairi, our fiber-glass Coo!
Highland Heavyweight – Join Rob Ritchie and John Duncan Macleod on our Shinty Pitch as they demonstrate a range of equipment and tell you a little bit of the history of the Highland Games in the area.
