Wednesday 25th July to Sunday 26th August 2018
“Coming Home” is a travelling exhibition and events programme developed by High Life Highland (HLH) to commemorate the end of the First World War in the Highlands. Poignant individual experiences, explored through documents, objects and photographs held in High Life Highland museums and archives alongside partner independent museums, are placed at the heart of the project. These individual narratives will reflect the wider social and economic changes in the Highlands at the time. The exhibition will tour a number of Highland galleries and museums in 2018.
You can come along and see the exhibition from Weds 25th July until Sunday 26 August here in our church at the museum.
Meet the Artist: Our Lead Artist, Robyn Woolston, visited the museum last October and ran a series of sessions with community groups and visitors. Activities included mark-making, drawing, collage, observation work, stitch and patch and photography alongside exploring the archive collection at the museum.
If you can’t make it along to see the exhibition here you can catch it at the following venues:
Museum of the Isles Thursday 30th August to Friday 29th September
Grantown Museum Thursday 4 October to Wednesday 31st October
