‘ArchI’ve Preserved and Conserved’ at House of Lords

On Tuesday 27th June 2017, Richard Aitken ACR, Senior Conservator at the Highland Archive Centre, attended the launch of Archi’ved, Preserved and Conserved.

The Archi’ve Preserved and Conserved awareness campaign took place with kind permission at the House of Lords, and was sponsored by the co-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Archives and History, Lord Clark of Windermere.

One of the objectives for ARA this year is to promote the unique and highly-specialised skills of archive conservators and bring greater awareness of the large amount of conservation work done across the UK to our national treasures and portable heritage.
