High Life Adult Learning secures Digital funding

The High Life Highland Adult Learning team have been successful in a funding application to the Scottish Council for Voluntary organisations. The application was submitted to Phase 2 of Connecting Scotland and will provide access to devices for people who otherwise would be disadvantaged.

The application secured funding for 20 devices and will mean that the Adult Learning team can continue their digital approach supporting learners and helping them take advantage of technology as part of their learning programme.

Mike Jones the Adult Learning Manager for Highlife Highland is delighted to have been successful in securing devices through the SCVO fund. Mike says –

“The pace at which we have all had to move into digital transactions of many kinds during the pandemic has meant some of our learners who were in the early stages of digital learning before lock down have been further disadvantaged by their lack of access to devices and learning new skills during the restrictions.

These devices could not have come at a better time as we return to some restricted face to face learning and support these learners with the new devices and skills to use them.”
